She is a resident of Virginia Beach, VA who has seventeen years of educational experience. She is a graduate of Norfolk State University and Edward Waters College with a Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Art. She also holds a Master’s degree from Norfolk Sate University in Elementary Education. Mrs. Calhoun teaches second grade at Green Run Elementary, where Mr. Ronald W. Sykes is principal. Mrs. Calhoun educational awards include recognition as a Competitive Grant Winner. Mrs. Calhoun believes it is essential to provide and maintain a positive environment for each child to learn by utilizing a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials.
